Below is a picture of the brew I made for my last watering. My water is ~79 degrees F so I decided I had to oxygenate it/cool it down before watering my plants, and decided to throw some compost tea stuff in there too while I was at it. On the top has 1/2 cup EWC and yucca On the bottom got 1/2 EWC and yucca as well, but got much more mushroom tea constituents. Both buckets actually got equal amounts of mushroom tea liquid, but as you may have noticed one bucket is foaming like mad. This is because I just forgot to shake the mushroom tea mixture up before, so one of them got all the nutrients settled on the bottom. Can you guess which? haha. The bottom bucket got proteins and also carbon from the settled nutrients, while the top just got mostly water.
I later ended up adding silica, amino acids, kelp, cane molasses, and fulvic/humic acids, Nothing I added made the top bucket foam. They both smelled like good pond water but the foaming bucket also smelled pleasantly sweet. Thought I'd share. If anyone knows what happened or has a guess I'd like to hear it. The foam wasn't thick either like "protein skimmer" type foam. They were like dish soap bubbles oddly enough, although it did bubble up a little bit of black stuff around the edges as you can see, so a little protein-ish I would think. Some no-till organic gardener said it's free amino acids and proteins I think. I forget who. Any advice would be welcome. I am aiming for high amino acid content and it would be cool if I could purposefully cultivate that instead of adding it in in powdered form
